“Al-Qaeda” calls to destroy oil objects in the countries delivering raw material of the USA
The Saudi wing of “Al-Qaeda” terrorist organization has called for fulfillment of acts of terrorism in the countries delivering oil to the United States, having declared, that among the potential purposes there should be not only the countries of the Near East, but also Canada, Venezuela and Mexico.
Threats have appeared on pages of “Al-Qaeda”’s Internet-edition on Arabian peninsula Sawt al-Jihad (the Voice of jihad). It is spoken in magazine that it is necessary to destroy oil objects in all countries which serve the United States and not only in the Near East. The purpose consists in stopping deliveries of oil or reducing them to minimum by all means.
“Al-Qaeda” has taken the responsibility for the organization (in February, 2006) of strong explosion at the largest oil refining factory of the Saudi Kingdom. Then, according to special services, terrorists used two tons of an explosive. Now, it is spoken in the application that “Al-Qaeda” will attack oil holes, export pipelines, oil terminals. This will help to reduce oil stocks of the USA and to compel this state to make of decision which can undermine a national economy.
The Canadian representatives of oil and gas sector have declared, that they have seriously concerned to threat, however they did not begin to accept additional security measures. Canada is the largest supplier of crude oil to the United States, for it Mexico, Saudi Arabia and Venezuela.
Mexico has declared that all objects of oil-extracting branch in the country are under constant round-the-clock protection which is provided by staff of the ministries of national defense, military fleet and public safety.
The Mexican government, having assured, that national oil-extracting branch is under reliable protection, has emphasized, that “has no the confirmed information on possible threat to strategic objects from “Al-Qaeda” grouping. At the same time the Latin American country ” closely watches the development of a situation “.” Mexico supports cooperation and maintains friendly relations with all people of a planet. Its policy is based on fundamental principles of international law, such as non-interference, recognition of the right of people on self-determination, peace resolution of conflicts, legal equality of the states, struggle for the world and safety all over the world.
